{OT} just one more result of liberalism

Apparently this one is:

If your local schools are teaching kids HOW TO have oral sex, it's your fault. They're probably not teaching it, though. This last statement will now cause an endless debate about how to warn kids about a certain activity without actually telling them what the activity is.

As I said, this was just a little extreme. But the oral sex instruction was the only threshold that was surpassed by this mother. Everything else has been taught for some time now, including condom insertion over garden vegetables.

Someone recently posted, here I think, that the public school system is too busy teaching kids about condoms to bother with the Constitution.

YMMV, but here, we found that failure to bitch is the reason problems continue in school.

My son and a few friends circulated a petition in a math class because the teacher refused to offer any help after school, something that all the teachers said they'd do. This was an AP course with highly motivated kids, so it wasn't a question of them not trying to get past problems on their own. The teacher told them that if they'd read the book, they wouldn't be having problems. The kids said they'd read the material several times, and still had questions.

Some hall rat kid saw the petition being circulated and literally ran to the principal's office, which resulted in my son and a friend being hauled down there. Oops. His friend was the daughter of the former superintendent, who still pulls strings and scares administrators. Result: The teacher was gone the next day. He returned the day after that, and according to my son, it seemed someone had put new batteries in him.

That's how to do it. Fear and humiliation are sometimes your best tool when you, as the CUSTOMER, are not getting the service you expect for your money. School administrators need to remember who is the customer.

I remember plenty of Republican kids getting VD and pregnant, and the US isn't nearly as liberal in sexuality as countries like the Netherlands and Canada, which have lower VD and unmarried pregnancy rates.

One more result of liberalism? Oh, sorry, I'd forgotten that conservatives never have sex, probably because they don't know how. Actually, on reflection, it would be nice if they didn't, because after this nutjob generation, they'd die out.

Won't happen here. Parents have virtually given up all rights, with administrators consequently having no accountability.

This wasn't the parents. It was the kids. My only part in it was asking him the day before if he wanted me to call the school. He said he wanted to think about it. I told him do a petition, but make sure it was polite and very professional. That's the last I heard of it until his mother called and said he'd been "arrested". She told the principal not to complain to her - deal with the kids and fix the problem. We taught him to raise hell when something was wrong, and knew that if he'd wanted assistance, he would've told us.

Had his friend's mom not intervened, we would've gone to the next step, whatever that was.

I was very proud of him. He got past the hurdle and ended up tutoring other kids in calc & trig the following year.

We prefer to handle teaching the Facts of Life ourselves. When Conservatives were doing it, there was a lot less STDs, unwanted pregnancies among teens, etc.

When it got handed over to the schools, everything went haywire.

What do you expect from a system that can't even teach reading, writing and 'rithmatic properly?

No surprise. In California, the new school books will intentionally omit any references to "mom" or "dad", so as to not offend alternative families.

As I said, no accountability. Parents are against it, but the school system is doing it anyway.

You're behaving like dbu now. You made a statistical generalization. Back it up. Otherwise, qualify it by saying it's just your opinion.

Doesn't really matter. Many STD's are not even sloed down by condoms and many women who's partners use condoms still get pregnant. Pushing condoms is pushing sex and STD's. In Africa one country went all out on abstenance only and succeeded in significantly reducing AIDS. Abstinence works when it is the only thing taught and not rejected by the media and those teaching it.

The NEA wants ingorant children to grow up to be ignorant adults so that they can bring in their agenda without any evaluation or resistance.

What about the significant numbers of parents who convey no information at all to their kids? What do you think we should do about the RESULTS OF that trend? I said RESULTS OF, in case you read it too quickly to notice.
