Magnetic Oil Drain Plug?

Good Morning Everyone -

With about 600 miles left until the next oil change in my '95 T100, I was wondering about getting a magnetic drain plug. Does anyone know the metric thread size of the drain plug for a 3.4 V6? Also, a couple of companies on the internet advertise magnetic plugs. Anyone have experience with these? If not, can anyone point me in the right direction either on the net or at my neighborhood parts outlet?

Thanks for your help

Charlie

Two sources for super-magnet neobium drain plugs are Avlube and Superplug. If your plug has the same thread as a Tundra, Avlube is the way to go. Superplug has much more variety, but they're kind'a doofuses...If your vehicle and engine aren't on their list you need to be able to tell them exactly what you need.

The advantage of a neobium magnet over a standard magnet is the neobium retains much more of its magnetism in the heat. I have neo-mag drain plugs and always see a small amount of iron particles on the magnet that were evidently too fine to be trapped by the oil filter.

it's metric, does 1.25X10mm sound right, can you use a caliper on the old one. that's 1.25 threads per mm by 10mm diameter.
