Antitheft metod - Right or wrong?

.................I agree with letting them have easy entry. I think that my 'hidden magnetic switch to the fuel pump under the gas tank' idea pretty much satisfies your criteria for an inaccessible disabling device that would be difficult and time consuming for a thief to defeat.

How about opening the decklid to expose the engine and hanging a white rag out of the window? Maybe even have a crudely fashioned hand-written sign taped to the window saying something like "SORRY!!! ENGINE BLEW UP!! PLEASE DON'T TOW!!! WILL PICK UP TOMORROW!!!" That might make someone think twice before trying to steal it... Maybe? I'm being serious. :-)

Yeah. Define small. If you try to fix your plumbing with them, they may seem a tad big wor the job. Maybe they are too small for Tim, with his shiny tip and all.

i personally believe

A deterrent is good though, if the thief sees some sort of physical obstruction, he/she is more likely to look somewhere else first. I certainly would like to have some sort of immobiliser that foxes any would be thief to go away, but I will still use the big yellow stick on the steering wheel & stickers on the window.
