No, some work at like 400 or 500+ volts!
so do incandescent normal house bulbs, but they will light on lower voltages too. Just makes less heat with the stuff there, unless powered appropriately............I'd say a second battery might be a good idea, or a voltage inverter ( those are available everywhere, cheap, but at low wattages)..........could use 'em though if you care to adapt.
