To you john. c you have never shon any proof other then tou can sell the same parts for a much higher price and I guess I'll play your game and start listing where people can get the same parts at a much lower price.

And Sorry to tell you this Timmy but I havent ever been convicted of steeling anything but a kiss or 2. but your ignorance will keep you brown nose in someones @ss im sure.

All anyone has to do is ask any of my customers, ( including the average 1 new aday,so choke on that) what they think about the quality of my work, and whould I be in business this long if I was that dishonest, sorry to say the truth can't be known unless someone has enough tim to waste and or an open mind. but for you that don't like me, leave or put up with it with alot less whinning damn this is like being in preschool some times.

sorry all I'm tired of the cry babys myself.

Hi!!!

i disagree here(surprise...)...that is what these types of internet groups are for...they are to inform....good, bad, indifferent....experiences,both good and bad....to keep others from making the same mistake....we do it constantly with/about parts and vendors...if this group is not to help the "newbies" and regulars with their vw's and vw endeavors, then what is it for? for idle chitchat, so we can then get "the" speech about OT threads killing this group?(from you, just in case you didnt' catch the ever so *subtle* tone)...

but you don't see GEX or their representatives posting things for sale on RAMVA either...if you *did* you would see constant warnings and such....and i can say that in complete confidence....and you would see alot of warnings also from those that have never even dealt with GEX...so really Mario is getting off easy....there is no "group" bashing of him in public(on a regular basis) just those that feel he has wronged them...

you are speaking from experience Jan...not all "newbies" have the same experience....years back(around mid 97) i did not know what google(dejanews) was...i had no idea...but i found this group...so a "search" was not an option to me, due to my inexperience with the net...not everyone comes to the net with absolute knowledge on how to use it....

i do agree here...and that is where groups like this come into play....it *is* common knowledge though that people that are happy with a part/vendor will tell a few...but will tell everyone possible when they are unhappy...that is one of the fundamentals of business.....

I have no issues with Mario, as i have told him in personal emails, and have not "flamed" him here...i have received flack for asking questions that would help "clarify" situations he has been in, but that is okay...i have met Mario once, and it was an enjoyable meeting...i have not done business with him, and may never need his services....if i did for some reason i would be cautious, mainly because i know there is *potential* that he has been dishonest in the past...now, how do i know that? surprise, this group....this group has done its job..it is here to educate and it should, reguardless of *who* is "tired of hearing it"....

Your the Man Chris I've told my side of the story in person to everyone of my customers , most of them will tell you they get more then they paid for and except for Travis when I welded on his bumper to his dissatisfaction (if he would have told me the next day I would have made it right). some of the others are sheep following with blinders and not only never had any work done by me or met me like you have.

As far as John C goes I don't blame him, its not like I would have ever bought parts off him again after waiting and getting to many wrong parts for customer cars but I wouldn't have even bought parts from him to use on his restoration. Mario

LOL!

John Aircooled.Net Inc.

You are so disgusting sometimes.

.... *ahem*...... What were you saying about a dead horse, Honey?

Kidd What's the difference between a northern fairytale and a southern fairytale? A northern fairytale starts out "Once upon a time..." A southern fairytale starts with "Ya'll ain't gonna believe this s*it..."

I've had enough of this bullshit. It makes the department of my brain labeled "Elementary Spelling" implode. For someone who claims to have a college degree I don't see how you ever passed anything. I won't even let a valet park my car if they can't spell "Nissan" right on the damn ticket, let alone allow someone like that work on my car.

(") To you, John C. You have never shown any proof other than you can sell the same parts for a much higher price (etc. The sentence structure for the whole thing was just f'ing ridiculous.)

I haven't ever been convincted of stealing anything but a kiss or two, but your ignorance will keep your brown nose in someone's ass, I'm sure.

All anyone has to do is ask any of my customers (Including the average 1 new a day, so choke on that.) what they think about the quality of my work. Would I be in business still [alternately; Would I have been in business this long] if I was that dishonest? Sorry to say, the truth can't be known unless someone has enough time to waste and/or an open mind. For you that don't like me, leave or put up with it with a lot less whining. Damn, this is like being in Preschool some times.

Granted the "time to waste and/or an open mind" does NOT speak highly of you as it states that it's a waste of time to learn the truth as you see it. And gaining on "average one new a day" is laughable. Even if you averaged one new customer a week that's still 52 new customers a year and somehow I *highly* doubt that.

Sorry all, I'm tired of the cry babies myself. (")

There. I feel much better now. :)

...............Just in case anyone out there missed what this liar is claiming, we have a one man paint & body shop that is supposedly getting around 250+ new customers yearly (based on the approximate no. of working days in a year).

and so on

no Kidd this is my point , You and I have never meet I have never sold you anything, nor would I now knowing you would find fault with any good and useable 30 year old part. And yet your ready to hang me when no court, or I even doubt theres been a police report ever filed on me. Johns court thing in SLC had no jurisdiction and I wasn't going to lose more money then I already have, flying out to" now think about this" a hearing that was meaningless to defend myself againt lies when ( pay attention here) I am swamped with work and tring to get my customers VW's done. I fight like any good business person would and trust me I think john must be a good business man, I mean I did help himset up his wearhous/store and move all the parts, to know that hes doing what it takes to turn a profit, and I'm sorry if he thinks I was going to let his greed shut down my business.

Yes I'm going to remain answering and helping out when I can, and that includes selling parts to people because I do this as a living and know all to well how hard it is to get good parts.

I also believe I said no flames between me and anyone in the open unless I there was $hit be talked about me. and agian most of my post are tech help ....well that is and I say again I can only apoligize for my own childish talk .

Mario

you want to put money on it tim, and its a 3 man shop. I have also been doing engine builds tune-ups. You can't drive a raely nice show condition bug around and not get people dragging theres out . Be happy tim there really is that much intrest in our hobby. there is atleast ten aircooled VW's (not including mine) in a two mile ratios of me.

Mario

It's not the parts I find fault in. That doesn't even make sense. Would I take a perfectly good part from someone if I had to wonder if it had come from some unsuspecting person's car? F*ck no.

Lynching has gone out of practice. I'd personally rather watch someone fry in the electric chair, but that's just me. And I'm not hanging you. I just have to believe that majority rules. 4 against 1? Why would I believe 1 person over 4 unless they had an actual motive in lying? I see no motive here. Loyalty doesn't count considering the circumstances.

How is it meaningless when the reputation of your work is at risk? You're so "swamped" you can't defend the work you're swamped with? Sorry. I don't buy it. That just doesn't make sense.

Well, the shitith have hitith the fan...ith. You just defended yourself more in this post than I've ever seen you do through the whole thing. Why couldn't you do that in the first place? Granted a lot of questions still weren't answered, but I would think if it's all lies I would certainly go about defending myself, DYING for my message to get through to someone whether I thought it was falling on deaf ears or not. That would just make me want to be heard even more. But that's just me I suppose. Either way, do what you do. What goes around comes around. That's all I can really say. It's your funeral, pal. I won't argue the point forever so unless it's humorous I'm not going to bother anymore. Just remember Karma's a bitch.

HAHAHA! I've been hit by the ramva spelling curse! However, one moment of fingers not catching up with brain in a massive corrective post still seems pretty good to me. At least I KNOW it's convicted and not convincted. You know why? Because I'm in "coleg"! LMAO

I emailed a reply but I'll reply again here. As I said, it's not that Jan doesn't have a conscience, he's just tired of seeing the same posts over and over and over. I understand your view and I see his too. It does get a little monotonous (ie "flogging a dead horse"). It just seems every time Mario is mentioned things blow out of proportion and we end up with a thread that's 60 posts long. However, saying not to flog the horse a million times is just the same as the rest of the s*it, and then everyone replies to that so instead of the thread dying out on it's own, there's someone new to bitch at because they said they're tired of hearing it. So, if everyone will just shut the f*ck up we can get on with everything and not have to worry about it. (Boy am I gonna be in trouble for that one! lol) Jan is the King because of his extensive number of posts years ago. While you may take away his crown, it won't make him any less powerful because just as I became Queen through default/marriage (HA!), he also became God. :) So you see, dethroning him would essentially do you no good. HEHEHE! GOD DAMN I love loopholes!!!!!

You must be the only one who actually took the time to read my crap

:)

Jan

You are welcome to do that.... dork :D

This particular episode has gone too far. WAY more "warning" than what is necessary. It's no longer "Friendly warning to newbies". It's personal insults and flame-war now. Two totally different things. Ocxcasional warning I can understand. Surely you see this difference.

:) Guilty as charged... I do sometimes post too much OT crap. And maybe even I can get a little carried away and repetitive... like, lemme see.. with my whining about Mario-flames?

TIRED OF IT YET? HUH? HUH? ARE YA?

:P

I am not interested in how "easy" Mario is getting off with it. I am interested in people overdoing it and it being annoying and childish. I don't like to let my friends let themselves look bad, and fill this group with useless drivel... which it is turning into fast, as the effect of "warning" has started to wear off.

"absolute knowledge" != knowing how to use the Search button on your reader window

Yea, we should really weed out those clueless newbies.. who needsum.. send em a virus or something to keep them and their stupid questions off our backs. :D

It's been researched.. where a happy customer tells one friend of his positive experience with a business, an unhappy customer will tell 7 other people about his negative experience.

With the Internet becoming more and more popular though, the negative feedback now spreads much wider. If you still had the same "treshold" to posting positive vs. negative, the ratio could easily be 1:100 on a web forum. You don't see a whole lot of messages saying "I bought a cylinder kit from nnnn and nothing went wrong, I was quite happy with the transaction and there were no surprises". It's not big news.

I don't mind hearing a fact-proven warning about anyone when there is need.

I DO mind however seeing this out-of-proportion flood about Mario.

MODERATION, dammit! That's what I'm asking for. Several messages a day, even per week, about the same thing is TOO-DAMN-MUCH. Doesn't really matter WHAT it's about. I HEARD YOU ALREADY.

Jan

I know. Aren't you proud :)

(I am)

Jan

Umm, in all honesty, I wouldn't let anyone with a high degree of education work on my car. Show me callouses and poor spelling and dirty clothes, and I might. Knowing how to spell says nothing about your mechanical abilities. In fact, I'd prefer a car mechanic who spent his time learning his WORK, rather than someone who spent 10-20 years learning to please academic nitpicks.

:)
