i didn't have to glue mine...the snips i made just at random so they would curve up consistantly with the shape of the opening...kinda snip, snip, check fit, snip snip, etc.. J

you cut at the metal strip that is *inside* the opening...the upper rubber part will curve upwards because it is flexible.. J
