I am restoring a 72 Standard Beetle and I am going back with the original radio Sapphire XIV. Question?? How is the 5" speaker in the left side of the dash mounted? Is the speaker secured with a strap and clips or is it held onto the back of the dash with small sheet metal screws??

It's held in by a strap that slips into tabs on the dash on each side of the speaker and then it has a screw that tightens against the back of the speaker to hold it in place. It's made of round material about 1/8" or so in diameter.
