temp gauge

I'm in the process of mounting gauges in my bus so I went through old gauges I bought years ago to see what I had. I found a vdo gauge cluster and used a volt gauge. I noticed it had a vw factory logo on it so I checked out the rest of them. Sure enough, all were made in Germany and had the vw logo on the case of the gauge itself. One of them is a temp gauge in cel degrees. This is a twin to the Puma temp vw gauge factory except this one was made in Germany. Anyway, I imagine a vdo sender would work (Idon't have one). Would anyone want this gauge? It is quite used and probably 25 years old or more but looks like it would work. Let me know if you want it. Dennis

Thanks Jim, but I don't want the gauge and I thought someone might want it. I did not know if the vdo german temp gauge with the vw logo was common. Anyone want it??

I hooked up the gauges I have used in my other bug into the bus yesterday. (not the temp gauge I tried to give away, it is gone) I have never hooked up to a new engine before and all I can say is wow. Lots of oil pressure at hot idle (14 lbs) Low running temps at highway (185 degrees) I think I will enjoy driving the bus instead of the bug this year.

John, this is a basic stock Mexican 1600 turnkey with dual carbs. In a few hundred miles I will give it it's first oil change and synthetic is on the menu.
