testing a way to filter the forging spam in thunderbird

Sorry for the test post guys. I am just seeing if I can hack the thunderbird filtering mechanism to filter out the forging spam.

Darn, must be showing my age. I thought you were talking about improving the filter in your Thunderbirds engine to screen out residue from forging process. John

I had noticed that there are two fields in common with all of the forging spam

NNTP-Posting-Host: pool-6126.adsl.interware.hu and I belive the 2nd is X-Complaints-To: snipped-for-privacy@interware.hu

I had it mapped out the other night but deleted it before send>> Darn, must be showing my age. I thought you were talking about improving

I was seeing what would happen if I edited the Thunderbird filters file directly using the X-Complaints-To header field, but i had to have some available posts in the group so I sent a test. Apparently, if you make a filter file manually, it filters out all the posts. So my test failed. I haven't given up though, there has to be a way, if not, there should be.
