Wheel bolts 740 Volvo Estate

I found today that on two wheels same side I have badly damaged threads, this has been caused by an idiot who did some work taking the wheels off with an air gun. The one wheel has only one damaged thread so I have 4 out of 5 nuts holding that wheel.

The other wheel which is a rear I can only get 3 of the 5 nuts on.

The nuts are not all next to one another so are in a sort of triangle shape.

What are your thoughts, I only use the car as a run-around, how difficult is it to change the wheel bolts.

The studs are usually a push fit from behind the hub. However you may need a stud press to get the old ones out and press the new ones in. Or change the hub complete with all five studs (new or secondhand).

Cheers, Peter.

How can I get a new nut on a damaged thread, who is doing the thinking here.
