did you check the seals on the taillights? and I am not sure if you trunk lid has drain holes that usually have rubber plugs in them that might get clogged.

flashlight....hop inside of trunk & close lid.....have a good friend hose it down and help you get back out after you look for the leaks. :-)

Wow! I had the same identical problem. I drilled two holes where the water leak let water form. Problme solved.

depending on where the leak is, would the obvious solution be silicone?

it appears to be wet at the back part of the trunk near the rear of the car (rather than the whole trunk)
