Novak himself reported it was "two senior Administration officials" who leaked it.

Sit still and do nothing for five to seven minutes after someone comes up and tells you your house is on fire.

The attacks themselves caused mass panic. There are a multitude of actions he could have taken way without contributing to it.

Sorry, hit the wrong button, should have been sent to the newsgroup. Don't you enjoy a lively debate?

Of course they will prosecute, once the investigation leads to indictments. It would be much easier and less expensive for the taxpayers if the Adminstration would identify who they are.

To answer your question, "What did the president know, and when did he know it?" Makes you wonder why he retained a criminal attorney before he was questioned by the Special Prosecutor...

I'm a bleeding heart liberal, because Bill Hughes says so

"Sorry kids, I have to go to do some very important work that just came up. I'll come back and we'll finish this nice visit, OK?" (walk calmly out of room into a room full of staff) "Get me someone on the phone who knows whats going on and inform me. Get me the Vice President, Condi Rice, and the Joint Chiefs to let me know how big the attack is and what we can to to prevent more. Americans are dying. Find out what's happening and what we can do about it.

I'm not saying he could have stopped the other attacks. Nor would I had I been in charge. But to answer your questions, if I was in charge, I would need to be informed. That means dropping everything when I'm told we're under attack and asking questions, at the very least. In a crisis, 5-7 minutes can mean a lot.

I answered your question, now you answer mine...would you sit and do nothing for 5-7 minutes after someone told you your house was burning down? Would you ask no questions during that time, like "did someone call the fire dept? Did my family get out?"

We're talking about the CIA leak here, not the hijacking...the special prosecutor is not investigating the hijacking. Did he know about the leak, when it happened? Seems to me, being the President, seeing that he is the boss of whoever made the leak, he could find out who it was if he really wanted to.

I hope so. The law is one of the few things about government I that I have some faith left in...

He was told that a plane hit the trade towers... at that point it was not known to be a terrorist attack. Typical liberal crap twisting the facts.

Bush had to make so many drill days (I don't know the number) and received permission to do drill days in Alabama. If he didn't do drill days in Alabama, then he still had to do them in Texas.

That's all there is to it.

"The President was seated in a classroom when, at 9:05, Andrew Card whispered to him: "A second plane hit the second tower. America is under attack."

From the 9/11 commission report, same page as my other cite...

I'm not saying he did know about it at the time, but he knows it happened now, in spite of his propensity not to read the newspapers. Wouldn't it be much easier and less expensive to the American taxpayer for Bush to order his administration officials to give up the traitor who made the leak? And if they don't, they'd be disobeying a presidential order...

Bush?

"On May 27, 1968 George W. Bush's student draft deferment was due to expire in 12 days. He applied to join an Air National Guard unit stationed in Texas and was sworn in that same day. He had a score of 25% on his pilot aptitude test. Bush's father was at that time a congressman representing the district that includes Houston, Texas."

Cheney?

"Cheney Had "Other Priorities" During Vietnam War. Vice President Dick Cheney received five deferments during the Vietnam War from 1963 to

1966, a period of heightened American commitment in Vietnam. He later dismissed questions about his failure to serve by simply saying, "I had other priorities in the '60s." [McGrory, Washington Post, 7/27/00; Geyer, Chicago Tribune, 2/6/04; Arizona Republic, 1/22/04]"

Ashcroft?

"While attending university and then law school during the Vietnam War John Ashcroft repeatedly applied for, and received, a student deferment from the draft. After graduating from Law School, however, Ashcroft continued to seek a deferment under the pretense that he held a "critical civilian job" - teaching business law at Southwest Missouri State University! By this time Ashcroft had already passed his pre-induction physical. But the deferment was granted and Ashcroft never had to fight the Communist menace face-to-face. Occupational deferments were granted to less than 0.75% of the 35 million draft age men in 1967"
