Yep, all that is how I ended up with the X-radials LT version. For the low level off roading I do (power line trails) they work fine. So what did they cost you each then, just out of curiosity. I paid $US107 each for 235s at BJs with the lifetime servicing on them. And I still have that 215 Goodyear POS on the back....

I prefer to be able to see what is on the sides of the road or trail.

Have you used the fog lights in a TJ? They light up the underlayer rather well. No tilting, no blinding (we are talking about usage with high beams), just using what is on the Jeep. We are talking underlayer here, not distance.

I was rather chagrinned when I could only buy my other vehicle (a Sienna) as an automatic. The Axxess before it was a stick. Tomes

Tom,

There is a coil spring on the throttle body wrapped around the butterfly valve shaft, between the throttle cable lever and the throttle body. There should be a second retainer spring clipped to the throttle body lever, with the other end hooked onto the bracket that secures the end of the throttle cable housing. It was this second spring that was missing.

Send me a good email address and I'll shoot you a pic.

They hit that dark spot just beneath the headlights and help illuminate the sides of the road just at the peripheral level

Well... A Wrangler.

Love the Libby, but I NEED to get the top off of something soon or I am going to lose my mind.

Is this your Jeep Bill?

By the way, hang in there on the tendon. Those are a bitch anytime. I tore one lightly, thought all was healed months later, then retore it walking down the steps in the gym, just hours before a national competition. Sucked big time to try to compete with that hurting. If I had a bum left leg I sure would want an auto!! I've come back from trips so tired its all I can do to get the clutch to the floor.

Dang it Earle!

*sigh* I just don't know. I would hate to go out and spent $30k on a rig and have it hurt to drive it. The mustang used to bug me a little, and I got up in the truck yesterday and tried it a couple of times and it barked at me. Often just walking on it without that damn boot makes it fire off. I have no idea how long it will take to heal but I don't think I want to wait that long. The quack doesn't even know why it won't heal. Prolly meanness - yup yup - prolly just good old fashioned meanness.

Hey Tom, all of what you say id valid in every way. I know it. I don't think I would hate an auto, I have just always enjoyed a stick so much more, I have a "spirited" style of driving and the stick would be best for (as you say) crawling, but hell, it's not like a little braking would hurt it. I just like that with a stick I can get better performance for passing and all.

I'm looking at autos, have driven them and they (it was an accident I SWEAR) will bark the 31's no problem. I think it willl be just fine but I didn't want to get one with an auto and find out that they are notorious for some problem or another.

I have had 4WDs in both and truthfully, preferred the auto BUT that was in pickemup trucks and Blazers, not a Jeep.

Everyone is great for all of the info they are giving.

Thanks :)

Thanks Jenn... I think that's what I'm going to do. I'm not a youngin like you so I think it's best to get the auto. It's a good transmission and will work great for most everything I know how to do AND I know more about how to get one stuck in the mud than I do a stick LOL. I've gotten stuck several times with an auto, that means I have experience LMAO. I am such a dork.

What competition were you in? Did I miss something? Let me guess, you're an ... umm.... cheerleader? Umm.... in a marching band? Um.... professional trail guide? OH OHOH! Jumping horses! Yea! That's it. That's my guess, you ride Jumpers.

Did I get it?
