101 Stolen in South London

Thats a shame :(

I have always told myself that 101's would be safe from thieving scumbags as theyre so noticeable and different.

This makes me consider putting the proper security kit for it back on the shopping list, I had assumed that i wouldnt need it..

I usually keep an eye on ebay for any 101 bargains. six stud mach-5's are definately going to stand out.

Am i correct in thinking that most vehicles stolen from homes are taken at night? (my car was) It would be interesting to see how many people my ambi siren would wake up and if it would cause anybody to ring the police or go out and have a look (assuming im not there)

They are more likely to either assume the police are there already hence the two tones or, come out to complain about the noise, or ask if they can have ago.

Regards the stolen one, utter bastards! I hope it gets quickly reunited.

Well the date of the theft on the web page is 20th April so it's been AWOL a while. IME if a car isn't recovered (in some state, from perfect to burn out) within about 48hrs it's "disappeared". Collectable/expensive ones knicked to order, others for cut 'n shut. A 101 though? I guess it falls into the collectable category and that did look like a nice tidy one.
