The drivers door on my Disco has started to open too far.
I am working on the assmption that the check strap has broken. I can't see where, assume it is inside the door itself.
How hard is the check strap too change? Is it removal of the door panel and undo the two bolts I can see on the outside of the door adjacent to the check strap itself as well as the pin at the other end? Removal then via the internals of the door.

I'm a bit hazy what this looks like but my recollection is that the design of the strap is not what it should be.
The ones that I saw didn't break but were prone to elongating a hole for the cross pin or something similar. The problem was visible without going inside the door. It is curable with a bit of welding and redrilling of the existing parts.
