Please help:
I have a 99 MkII with an EAS problem. Rear suspension pumps up fine but with the front suspension, I'm on the bump stops. This happened all of a sudden. My wife went to the store with no trouble. When she got in to drive away when she realized the front suspension was not activating. When parked I notice the truck is raked forward before the rear suspension loses air.
What can I diagnose?

It sounds like a valve stuck somewhere along the way, or possibly an air leak... As usual, my first answer is to ask lots of questions:
1) Do you have an EAS FAULT message?2) Is the compressor running?
3) What happens if you leave the vehicle for a few minutes with the engine (and compressor) running and a door open (to build pressure in the reservoir)?4) Is there any sign of air escaping from the exhaust silencer (while cyliner on the side of the valve block behind/under the air hoses)?

Thanks Austin for your astute diagnosis.
It turned out to be a break in the line from the compressor to RHS front air bag. Apparently the tubes used to supply the air to the bag are plastic. The dealer seems to think that driving down the highway causes the tubes to rub along the chassis. All of this rubbing wears them away enough to the point that they fail. LR makes a fix-it kit for U.S. $20.00 that splices the two air lines back together. Fixed in under 20 min.
The truck is now back out on the road, and the wife is happy. Stay off the sidewalks.
