I know, I know, I know.

I shouldnt have done it, but i was driving home and i wondered if i could actually drive across it.

Near side front and offside rear spining like a bastard.

Luckily, using the tools to hand (Socket Set Box, Tool Box, and a Cordless drill box ) i managed to get out of it!!

Will I ever learn?

When the challenge is there .......................................... !!

On or around Mon, 15 Nov 2004 09:40:01 +0000 (UTC), "Mark Solesbury" enlightened us thusly:

nice cross-axle demonstration.

FWIW, yer angle of approach is not quite right - you need to try for only 1 wheel in the ditch at a time.

I suspect that a very specific level of momentum is also a good idea - too much speed, and you might damage things, take it too slowly and you give it a chance to stop if it wants to.

well done for improvising an escape though.

In news:cn9thh$g5j$ snipped-for-privacy@titan.btinternet.com, Mark Solesbury blithered:

Silly boy!

Mark Solesbury vaguely muttered something like ...

Haven't you done this before ? ISTR a similar series of RRC photo's from some time ago ..

Ive never got stuck before

How not to cross a ditch! :)

Mark Solesbury vaguely muttered something like ...

LOL, so you keep trying until you do then ?

Sounds like most Landie owners I know .. ;)

you got out of that using a cordless drill?

or did you just jam the toolbox under one of the spinning wheels?

Regards. Mark.(AKA, Mr.Nice.)

Maybe he dismantled the Range Rover and re-assembled it 20 feet back from the ditch ?

cheers

Well you'd have to give it another go wouldn't you !

There's no way I'd let a poxy ditch like that stop Solihulls finest... and with a 20 foot run up you'd get through.

cheers
