series and MOT test

hiya,

just wondering if a series can be taken for a test without the front bumper fitted on.

its just that ive got some alterations to make to the bumper, which may take a while, and i thought id test it anyway,

i cant fit bumper for test as its a super heavy duty box section steel that should be welded on, it was that strong that you could susppend the vehicle in the air with it.

Really don't know, I would have thought that bumpers are not strictly necessary, in that series don't have a rear bumper do they .

I am personally wondering whether a numberplate wired onto the radiator grille which is not perfectly perpendicular is MOT pass or fail material but I don't really care because that is where the numberplate currently is, it is not going to fall off, and that is how it is going into the MOT

(famous last words)

I can't see why not, it would depend on your MOT tester. I've certainly had a series MOT'd without one, and without several other bits, like doors and windscreen, but then I know a reasonable tester.

The advantage of a series is that it still looks proper even without the bumper fitted, or any of a host of parts.
