Ford Cassette Radio

The cap top of the cassette rewind button on the Ford 5000 cassette radio on the 1998 Ka2 we have recently acquired for my wife''s use is broken and falls off although the unit including the button is working fine . Is it possible to obtain a replacement from anywhere please or has anyone found a way of effecting a repair, I am aware that you can get complete units on E bay but this would be very extravagant given that the only fault we have is with the button top. Does anyone maintain a graveyard for non functioning units which could be accessed?

I'd imagine your best bet would be a check round the scrappies for a dead or damaged one and ask nicely if they'll part with a button. eBay is always worth keeping an eye on as people often sell broken kit. If you could win one for a quid or two you could ask the seller if he'd just pull the button off and post it to you and bin the rest of the unit on your behalf!
