LPG Conversion for Omega V6

These are just snippets I've picked up over the years - I've no interest in LPG, and some, any or all of the above statements could be wrong :-)

Probably cheaper to sell it and buy one already converted.

Yeah, 'cept if he's got a minter it would be bananas to swap it for an unknown. "Omega LPG conversion" is often spelt "T-A-X-I"

Also, being rather cynical, I'm going to assume that LPG is going to go up in price as more people use it. The government hardly wants to lose money over fuel sales now does it, so it'll tax it like petrol.

This is true, but if you do a high mileage you wil benefit.

The Omega has a large enough boot not to be a major problem there. Can be a disadvantage with estates though as you lose the big flat loadbed.

When I get my LPG Omega running I might tell you more - it's been off the road so long the ECU has lost the keycoding :-(

With the increase in fuel costs and likelihood that petrol will be ever more scarce, LPG has a bright future IMO.

Why is your Omega off the road? I get the impression Omegas are not very reliable,

Ive got a 3.0 V6 gas guzzler omega

It's off the road because I bought it cheap with a duff engine, and have since fitted a replacement (the original had done 220k, hardly unreliable). It was off the road due to the previous owner, not me.
