I have a 1998 vectra. If the doors are slammed, rather than a solid clunk when doors are shut, the noise is tinny.
On investigation I beleive the roof headlining may be loose - If I place my palm upwards against the roof, in the middle l/r about 2/3 back & then slam a door the sound is more normal.
Is this likely? what is beneath the roof lining? how tricky is it to remove? are there clips/poppers that need to be pushed in at some key location?
Thanks Nigel nigel at planetf1 ... then my isp which is uk.co.worldonline backwards.
