ZX diesel throttle cable

I think SWMBO's ZX 19D needs a new cable. I adjusted it about 2 months ago due to lack of oomph [1] and slackness in the cable. This made a huge difference but the slackness and lack of go have returned and I am running out of adjustment. I presume this means a new cable. The Haynes BoL is less than specific about how to do it (the photos are dreadful) and GSF sell just the one cable kit. Is there only one type of cable and is there anything tricky about the job?

[1] Ok FSVO oomph naturally

is there a damper in the cable ? normaly running along the bonnet slam panel offside, if there is get someone to push the throttle pedal down & look at the cable by the damper, what happens is it pulls through, normally a cable tie securing the outside of the cable to the damper helps.

Mine broke on my ZX 1.9D. I nicked the one off my Pug 205 D and although it was shorter it worked. HTH.
