ZX driveshafts

Neighbour's Citroen ZX needs a new outer CV gaiter. I've got the shaft out but can't see how to get the inner joint off to slide the new boot over. It (needless to say) doesn't look like the one in the Haynes BOLs. It appears to have a metal can swaged over the joint. Is this sort removeable?

they are a prime candidate for the type that stretches over the CV joint with a big plastic cone. :(

The message from "Spark" contains these words:

One of which he's just gnoe and bought!

have a cheaper "triax" type joint which is non removable . ( sometimes) If where the boot sits on the joint is a flat area about 10 mm wide the the boot is removable , if its 2 or 3 narrow grooves that the boot slips into its a non removable type. steve the grease
