944/924 pics

Jan 27, 2005 38 Replies

My dad just sent me over some pics he's taken of my 944 and 924..

I really need to sell the 924 now. I don't think anyone here's interested, but just in case... make me a reasonable offer - I can give you guys more details/pics if required. I'll probably be advertising it somewhere over the weekend/next week.

Cheers!

Chris.

I discovered by chance that we can if we go to the

How much you wanting for the 92.....

NNNNG no. I've just arranged to buy another car.

Sorry.

I met someone recently who was selling a 928 though. It was in good nick, but he wanted more than banger money for it unfortunately.

Sounded good though, and had a proper engine.

Is that your real hair?

I'm just gonna sit here and wait for permission :-P

Is that the one with the van engine? :)

Keep it, and get a "my other car is a porsche" sticker on the back.

Should make the Porsche Purists giggle. Out of interest, what do you reckon it might need doing? And what sort of ball park are you looking for, and where is it again?

Hmmm. Tempting... another Porsche. OTOH... I have 6 cylinders, 200bhp... maybe I'll get a 944 in Canada or something.

Is it my monitor or is that 944 brown?

Richard

the 944 is hot! love them, the 924 looks a bit skinny and a bit high of the ground for my taste really, and doesn't really make the right sound for me either. i remember selling my dad's old hi-fi amp on ebay and the guy came to collect it in a mint black 944, sounded so sweeeeet, bags of boot space too!

hmmm speaking of the right noises i'll have to get an exhaust done for my MR2 soon to bring out that nice tick over noise it has :)

theres a guy in our village with a really nice (engine wise) 944 with tatty bodywor. i keep checking for a "for sale" sign in it. would make a brilliant project.

Nice tick over noise, FFS how much time do you spend in traffic jams!

Obviously dont do many motorway miles either.

My friend who I occasionally car pool with has a MR2 turbo with a blitzt exhaust on. annoying as f*ck on the M1 :o(

that would be blitz rather than random_made_up_word :o)

LOL i don't find the blitz that bad but why the sell it with a silencer insert i don't know because it makes fudge all difference!

i'll give you a ton for it

One front wing is a bit dented - I was quoted £100 to fix but it's not too bad. I recently changed the rear section of the exhaust and engine mounts - it's got just over 10 months MOT on it. Tax runs out end of May. Condition of the interior makes me think the 73,000 miles is correct (it's bloody good - no rips, dash in good condition, can't see any wear on the seats). I don't know about much else that will need doing - the engine's a bit rattly and I have to top up the oil every now and then but I think it's pretty normal for a 20-year-old car with a much older engine design. It's got good oil pressure and pulls along very well so I don't think there's much wrong with it.

I reckon around 8/900 quid.. reckon that sounds about right?

Chris.
