My mortgage is paid off in about 12 years unless I over pay which I plan to. But then I only bought the house 6 years ago. If/When we remortgage I will take the same ammount as the balance, but knock another 5 years off the repayment terms to say thousands in interest.

If I wanted a huge boot I would have a Saab 900 again, or a 9000 if I fancied an Auto. But they are both FWD, and as I've RWD once, 4WD once, and FWD 4 times, it is time to even up the balance with a large barge with either 4WD or RWD when the time comes.

I don't think that there is a realistic chance of me owning a house over here anymore, just too expensive. One of the reasons why I want to emigrate to Canada.

Or a Mustang. Or something with at least a V8 and a carb that looks like a drainpipe with some flaps in it.

Nooo no no no. Steve will only have an attempt at an argument or counterpoint, before going into personal attack mode.

More to be pitied than scolded.

Soul, sold, Volkswagen. Rearrange as necessary.

As if having two Alfa Romeos is some kind of impressive status symbol heh.

I wanted to bring that up too :-) I mean, they're surely anti-status because they're so cheap...?

I have remote control cars worth more than most Alfas and my laptop battery lasts the longest - also part of me is made of titanium - urgo - you're all shit and I'm the best and most manly

In 2000 we bought a =A335k house. When we remortgaged a couple of years=20 ago it was valued based on recent similar house sales at =A395k. We've added double glazing, a new kitchen and a refitted 4 piece=20 bathroom since and redorated as we go. Similar but un developed houses=20 locally are now topping =A3100k and they are losing the factory across the= =20 road and building over priced starter houses and flats. The first street=20 of there has been named now officially. It is "Firth Boulevard".

LOL, that would look freakish. Especially if I had it sprayed in a camo pattern but using dayglo safety paint instead of Satin NATO colours.

Saabs are cheap too though. Does having one cheap Saab mean I'm cheaper or more prudent than having two Alfa Romeos? :=p

Hehehehe.

All you dudes with no mortgage, 8 computers, 3 Aston Martins etc...

How many children do you have ?

Between you ?

I have no children - but I do have an aquarium :-)

Probably not Aston Martins, and with the average computer being worth about £50 and the average car about £500 tops, it's all a little tongue in cheek.

Speaking for myself, none.

And having no mortgage doesn't mean I own a house and it's all paid off either....
