That Labour party election broadcast tonight.

They're probably all on the rob now instead... Or moreso.

You jest?

I suggest you read some recent history and take a balanced view rather than the customary "poor hard done by motorist" approach favoured by many.

That was the first thing I thought. Obviously dreamt up by some marketing type with very little intelligence.

Expecting people to take a balanced view on here is like expecting them to make fun of their own haircut.

Nope, "training", "disability", "incapacity", "no longer eligable", "returning to education" but not on the dole

Yes, now they are all on invalidity benefit or on "courses" given by idiots for the benefit fo idiots.

Halford's seem to have a policy of asking for proof across the UK, but there's no legal requirement in Scotland, AIUI.

Yes, the assaults on the motorists rights pale into insignificance compared to the attacks made on the fundamental human rights of all citizens[1] by this unpleasantly authoritarian government.

They are meant to serve us - sack 'em if they get uppity!

A [1] more correctly, subjects of HMtheQ, our feudal superior.

I wonder if Labour will get a spanking on Thursday ?

Personally I'm so pissed off with the lot of them that I'm boycotting the elections this time round.

I live in Scotland, you wouldn't believe the hassle needed to get a third plate to put on my trailer. I used to just go into Halfords and buy the stick on letter/numbers when I changed my towing car and take the old ones off my metal blank yellow rear plate. Now, apparently you cannot get a blank plate and stick on your own numbers, you have to prove you own the vehicle in question and supply proof of ownership. Then pay a stupid amount to get the third plate. I've kept my old metal one and next time I'll put the numbers on myself with lettraset or similar.

I live in Scotland too and haven't had any problems with the local motor factor, could this just be a Halfords thing?

So you are personally giving Labour what they want then? You personal veto for no one else to get in.

Not quite. German-owned maybe, but designed in Warwickshire by a Briton, engineered by the now-defunct Rover group, and built in Oxford. Brazilian engine though.

Very probably. My suspicion is that it's just England (and Wales?) that require the proof, but Halfrauds implement it nationally.

Shouldn't that be "internationally" in this context? :-)

Oh that'll work! You stupid arse.
