Which wheels? Been photoshopping an ST185

I want white 17" motorsport wheels with maybe wide black rally mudflaps, and some rally livery inspired graphics eventually (Can't go castrol or any of the official colours though as they were based on white cars).

So out of these classic motorsport wheels.

I have no personal special preference. I like them all.

BTW, my photoshopping isn't usually that bad, real rush job.

I've got a poll running on the owners club too based on the same pictures.

So far, people are going for either Compo MO's or TH3's Hardcare ageless motorsport, or period gravel style.

Personally I prefer the OZ rally race Gravels, but they are next to impossible to find in 17" in a Celica fitment as Toyota stopped using them in the late 80's/early 90's, but they were used on on Subarus and Lancers much later.

Go grey, not white...

All that effort and you could have gone here

Yeah, but the only rimstock wheel I like is the 100+/Team Dynamics Monza.

And the centre caps go a bit pink if you go for red ones.

I did think about dark grey, maybe even black, but I'm trying to get the motorsport/rally look rather than the Jap street racer.

I'm trying to avoid too much of one colour, have why I want white wheels and black big fuckoff rally mud flaps (proper Sparco types not the nice little dinky dealer fit mud flaps).

Something like

(if you can see it) but black, grey or maybe even green (WRC celicas where White with white wheels and red flaps, and red/green/white Castrol livery, so I was thinking red with white wheels, black or green flaps, and a white/green livery of some kind).

Maybe, but with 18" surely the tyre profile should be lower?

Tyre sizes for mine:

205/55/16 215/55/16 225/45/17 235/40/18

Currently on 205/55/16, if I did an upgrade it'd be for some nice but light

17s so as not to bugger the ride up (and incur the daft running costs of the 18 option - the OE 18s are lovely BBS split though - very very nice) but I can't see myself in a hurry to do so (plus just bought 4x conti premium contacts in 205/55/16)

Your photshopping ain't bad at all :)

I've got the last one (OZ Super Tourismo in 16 inch) om my Cossie, they look nice but also very white...

The Cosworth is more bordeau than the red of your Celica, but I think a respray in gun barrel grey will make them less flashy. Extra bonus is that brake dust will be less visible.

I like the types 1 and 4 the best on your car. The compomotive MO should be easily cleaned and give you the excuse needed to installe those bigger, drilled brakes ;-)

Oh don't worry about that. I'm half an hour away from Demon Tweeks and 2 mouse clicks away from Rally Designs and Midland motorsport.

I know what your saying about less flashy, but I really do like the thought of white along with red. Maybe I'm just weird.

Hmm, Tarox kit was on the cards if I keep the car more than 2 years. Nice 6 pot install.

They all look odd, but I would go for the last ones.
