local locksmith states that i have to pay $20 more for him to program a chip key for the 2009 nissan versa, as compared to the 2008 nissan versa. the extra $20 is required by nissan for a PIN number for each key that is programmed (the programming tool's software for the 2009 model requires the PIN, according to the locksmith, and the older software without the PIN will not work on the 2009).
