OT - JSB - what do ya' think of...

Good. You just let all the air out of the reasons for the war in Iraq. Thank you. Now, explain it to dbu the twit.

Headscarves in schools. No different than Catholic kids wearing crucifixes around their necks.

I only gave the answer you have been fishing for. It is not the answer that I believe. If those organizations have had any success it's because President George W. Bush has empowered them to achieve such with the Patriot Act. And that has been despite all the wailing and teeth-gnashing of people like you and F.H. Even the useless Congress continues to give permission for the Patriot Act to continue and funds the Iraq War. Ultimately the real reason we haven't been attacked here YET is because he had enough good advisors and vision to realize what was needed to chop the terrorists at the knees.

All the besmirching you do and innuendos you cast about that he is being paid off by Saudis is nothing. Maybe you should be asking who is paying off Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, et al. to be such obstructionists and put their own political welfare over the American people's welfare.

Which would you rather wear?

Idiot. You have no feel what-so-ever for the war on radical islamic terrorism.

WHAT? Let's start over yet AGAIN. I pointed out that AQ has managed successful attacks in a list of countries, and you say it's because of the Patriot Act??? How has the Patriot Act empowered these terrorists?

That's a dumb question. And, I've matured beyond religion, so it doesn't apply to me anyway.

Which would you rather your school-age child wear?

You still haven't explained why AQ has successfully attacked in England, Spain, Pakistan, Bali, Algeria and Morocco.

I have no preference in that regard. If the kid's a Muslim, she might wear a head scarf. If she's Catholic, she might wear a crucifix. I'd rather the kid wear no religious trappings, but religion is a free choice.

Are you still connected with why we're discussing the subject of fabric in school? Do you remember how this part of the discussion began?

I see you are lost again or are just moving the target again. Your discussion with me is why we haven't been attacked here. The Patriot Act has international implications also and certainly has prevented some shenanigans and money movement that you don't know anything about.

You can't explain it, and you call ME an idiot? Now, that's funny. I want to know if YOU BELIEVE that our mission in Iraq is part of the reason WE have not been attacked.

According to Robert M. Gates, when terrorists decide to attack on our soil again, electronic surveillance will cease to be of much value. They'll do what terrorists do in Iraq: They'll stop using electronic communication completely. Even the Viet Cong figured this out.

The main reason we have not been attacked again here is that terrorists haven't yet chosen to do so. It has absolutely nothing to do with our presence in Iraq because that is NOT where "they" come from, for the most part. In the countries I mentioned, the terrorists were home grown, according to OUR INTELLIGENCE SERVICES. That's a real problem, when airport security becomes meaningless because terrorists already live in the country and don't need to pass through airports.

Still posting the lefty goofy stuff I see. You can bet the farm the hundreds of radial Islamic terrorists we have killed in Iraq and Afghanistan did not get a chance to kill anybody in the US LOL

If we killed them, how did they manage to attack in England, Spain, Bali and other countries? What is this? Night of the living dead? Dead terrorists are attacking in other countries?

Not quite. There have been incidents where scarves are allowed, yet crosses have been banned.

Same school, same grades, same time.

When my children were in middle school in the early nineties, there was an entire chapter in their world history book about Islam. Not a single paragraph mentioned Christianity. Even the Mayflower story was sanitized, not to speak of the early presidents or founding fathers. This was over fifteen years ago.

Activate sarcasm warning lights:

Maybe the school expected kids to learn about Christianity at home. After all, we do have a "Christian heritage", as the intellectuals in this group established not long ago. Even Jews are Christians, but they don't know it.

Personally, I think these should be banned.

They could lead to an inflated sense of Italian solidarity among high school kids. That could lead to discussions of traditions, like cannoli, and THAT will lead to obesity if the kids end up craving sweets. All this from a piece of jewelry.

If they're expected to learn about ANY religion at home, then it should be ALL religions. If the school system takes it upon itself to educate the masses about personal beliefs, they should be required to give them all equal time. If not, teach not.

This should be a crime. I hate yellow gold. Particularly faux yellow gold on automobiles.

I agree. My high school (1966-1970) taught us about ALL religions, and it was just your basic public school. Nothing fancy. 40 years later, different high school, my son learned the same stuff I did. Maybe it's part of NY state's syllabus for high school students.

You need to fix your schools. I find it amusing that you don't. But on the other hand, you wouldn't want to eliminate something that's so convenient to complain about. That could lead to boredom.

Yo Vinny!
