I have a 1994 Escort (1.9 Auto). Lately the check engine light has been coming on sporadically. Car seems to be running fine. Fluids all at correct levels. Any ideas?

The car is 10 years old. Unless it stays on constantly, forget it.

the problem is likely related to the EGR system.
But there will be more descriptive details surrounding the light coming on.
i mean pay attention next couple times it happens. what else is going on and where and at what speed.
