Superwinch = junk

You'll achieve the same effect by keeping the winch remote in the hands of winch operator.

Have you yet written up a book of all your "Real Jeep" rules, or do you just make them up as you go along? ;-)

Left seat, right seat, front seat, back set - they all got to be commonplace after 3500 hours or so of instructing but watching a new IP getting checked out was a riot!

Didn't I see where the old guy that whacked a bunch of people out in CA was actually in a car with modified pedals for a handicapped owner (not him) and got the wrong pedal? Something like the accelerator was extended to the left or something? Now THAT would throw me the first time!

":eek:" is right! Everything's backwards!

I have never tried it, but I am sure there would be nothing worth watching when I ever do try. I have no question that I can operate a shift lever with my left hand, I could even operate the gas with my left foot and the clutch with my right, if it was required.

The bigger question is, have you ever seen a Brit on vacation in America? Now there is some humor.

That is not entirely true. You have argued with just about everybody here. And, you have ignored responses from people that offered good information but left the door open for you to gain even more information.

CalWheeler has been a longtime contributor here, you on the other hand ...

Hey go for it - it's always amusing to see oursel's as others see us - explain more !

btw, why do you guys adopt those nasty tan shorts when you get to 40 ? They look ridiculous !

Approximately 9/12/03 10:16, Jeff Strickland uttered for posterity:

Yeah, they are just so funny with their little camping stoves heating their beer before drinking it.

Have to give 'em a break on that though...

They grew up with Lucas refrigerators...

I watched them film a new version of the "what happens to line handlers" video in the 80's. Quite an impression it made on me, working with the "larger than life" equipment, and seeing it snap so easy! Some of the comments in this thread have made me laugh, others have made me want to jump and shout! Use care! From what I have seen, death may be the better option than a "slight" injury. (life size,human "consistancy" manaquins, and the distance that the parts fly are first and foremost in my mind with a chain/cable/rope in hand, as it should be in yours)

You have to appreciate the big arrows, and "look right" on the crosswalks...

they get the tan shorts because Wal mart has 2 colours... tan, or red. (Or at least that is about all the local store here has)
