P38 LPG

Looking for some advise on an LPG system for a P38 4.6.

Local LR specialist has recommended one company who fits the Prins VSI system for £2150+vat, (probably the very top end?) or the "budget" Bigas system for £1850+

I'm sure I've caught Badger on another forum recommending OMVL (dream

11?)

Others I have spoke to have recommended BRC.

Rather confused now.

Just spoke to another company who have offered the Prins system for £1950+, which is tempting.

Anyone had any dealings with Hets Autogas, in Knebworth?

Sorry for vague ramblings but any experiences, advice gratefully received.

I install OMVL Dream 21N systems on these, have done quite a few now, both Gems and Motronic (Thor) versions with no issues. Personally, I feel that Prins, although good quality, doesn't quite have the same backup as OMVL, and I just wouldn't touch BRC. It's worth noting that most of the current SGI systems all use the same electronics/software, to a degree, all made by AEB srl. of Italy! So, whether you go for OMVL, Romano, Bigas, etc etc it's basically the same kit in a different box! OMVL currently have the best injectors on the market, they are more responsive than all the others and can respond down to 2ms pulse time, this allows much greater accuracy of fuel metering with larger nozzles that are capable of flowing the required ammount of gas under heavy throttle openings at high rpm's. A lot of the differences between the different makes are down to quality of parts used and different injectors. I genuinely feel that the OMVL kit is some of the best on the market - that's why it's all I fit. For a P38, Gems would come in at £1750, Thor at £1820(ish). (there is more work involved in removing the inlet to fit the injector nozzles on a thor). This is with a 95ltr torroidal tank in the spare wheel well, you also need to loose or cut-down the foam insert that holds the jack etc. No vat to add as I'm not vat reg., but I'm in the north of Scotland so probably not much cop! OK, understood, and thanks for the info.

Started talking to some OMVL dealers, one of which recommended the OMVL Piro kit over the Dream 21N.

Had a quote close to yours for the Piro system from LPG Auto Conversions in Kent.
