Hi,
I have a 1.4 14v Clio (Y-reg) and want to change the "gear knob". I have the Haynes Manual but cannot find anything on the subject.
Can anyone point me in the direction of, or give me instructions on how to do it?
Many thanks in advance Oli

IME you just give them a good twist and they come off. Anti clockwise on my Ford. Of course, if it had a previous owner, they may have used one of those handbrake / gearstick locks and superglued the knob on to stop people taking it off to get the lock off.
Thanks, but doesnt seem to shift!
Any other ideas? Renault do not want to tell me.
TIA, Ol
Try uk.rec.cars.modifications, one of the bods there works at a Renault garage. I suspect you might be mocked for wanting to swap the gearknob, rather than cram in a Rover V8 or something though.
