Hi renaultkeys.co.uk repair this fault at the vehicle, takes them about 10 minutes, wonderfull service there number is T: 07894 265600 ask for Regan, they cover most of the south east
They are all EOL. That breaker doesn't have accident damaged cars for breaking. Never ever seen a crumpled wreck in public areas of that yard where part removal is allowed. That breakers yard is one of the biggest in East Midlands dealing with 1000's of cars a year, the shredder is on site next door.
OK fair point for the marques they only have one or two listed, but for the common makes with 10's of cars it's likely a fair sample. DO YOU WANT A FULL STATISTICAL ANALYSIS? HOW MUCH WILL YOU PAY? If you won't pay do it yourself and prove it's not a fair sample.
People don't bother to keep Megane on sorn, they just throw them away.

There were about 11K of these made from 98 to 00, now 25.8% remain, 7% of which are sorn.
People don't bother to (or need to) sorn Micra either but they do LAST longer. Just starting the death slide, Micra Celebration will go though the 50% mark some time in next 2 years, Renault Megane Liberte went though it over 2 years ago.

15737 in 2000, 77% remain, 4% sorn. This is the profile of a keeper, lots more kept on sorn and it starts to show a ripple from a seasonal winter/summer trend. The initial 5-7 years shows far higher attrition rate than family cars.

Produced 96-00, 2978 at peak 50% remain, of which 26% are sorn. There are some Renault's that are worth keeping.

1086 made, 49% left, 58% sorn. Megane 225 already has a summer/winter ripple and very high attrition rate. You won't be finding cat A cars in scrap yards, D and C get fixed, that leaves a few cat B.
It doesn't matter, what a breaker has, it is not directly relevant to popularity or lack of, if anything it shows which vehicles ARE popular breakers, which means people are keeping that model on the road and want parts for it.
Albert Looms don't go out seeking popular breakers and asking you to pay to remove the ones that they can't sell bits off. This is where all those cars that are not popular enough to earn money in the breakers yards YOU go to, come to directly. They sit and wait for everyone from
20 miles around to drag the heap into them and put it on the weighbridge. Then it gets it's week in the yard. The yard is huge and there is room for all to have it's last week. They don't seem to price bits to reflect demand or retail cost but simply on what it's worth in copper etc.
Set of 3 wiper arms and blades + roof bar cover trims, £2. Dealer retail £80.
Celica Headlamp wash pump £10 - all largish motors seem to be £10, windows, sunroof etc.
