Miata 1990 won't start

I had the Miata covered for the winter outside with a full tank of gas (I think-it reads full with the key off) The car starts instantly but will not run. I tried over and over. The car was parked on a slight incline facing up. There is 58000 miles and the car had plugs, etc. Any help would be appreciated.
