Says it all really (2025 Update)
Where can you get the flags?
I want a German one for this weekend's F1 race :)
There's a house in town used to be white....
It's going to be PINK! When the d******ds find that the red cross shows though white and the repaint just spreads the red further and further.

ahh, cant beat a bit of sterotyping. Don't really have any objection to the flags meself, just people showing their allegiance of team.
Ok I haven't got an england flag on my car (its mostly as I don't want to scratch 'my precious' but I have an air freshener on the rear view mirror with an England flag on it
As for ppl with England flags being racists thats a load of bullshit, it's suprising how many anally, politically correct ppl think thats the case
Grr
Glenn raved thus:
:: I was born on the 23rd April (st Georges day for those who don't :: know) :: and always have the st Georges cross flying outside my house , not :: just for the :: odd football match.
The bloke out the back from me always flies a union flag, though he's swapped it for a St. George's cross for the moment.
I've been looking for German ones to go to VW shows in, you get the nastiest looks when you ask for one at a stall set up in the middle of town.
That surprised me to see you didn't make the normal mistake of calling it the Union Jack.

What a load of Bollocks, please explain why its only an act of racism when an Englishman (or woman) displays their national flag?
Steve.
IMO, it's not the flags that are the problem, it's the sort of people that are flying them.
'I am dreaming of a time when to be English isn't to be baneful To be standing by the flag not feeling shameful Racist or partial'
From track 2 of Morrissey CD 'You are the quarry'
(I am English myself. 1st member of the family to be born here.)

Where I live about 90% of the cars on the road have these flags, from mums with 4x4's to suits in Mercs and 'Lexi' to Kev in his Corsa.
Steve.
Put a chav in a Merc and he's still a chav.

People aren't displaying their flags because of their patriotism and love of all things English. The flags are only to show support of the English football team at Euro2004. Once the football is over (or England get knocked out) the flags will all disappear.
In six months time anyone still displaying the flag on their car will be considered as loony as the people who leave their red noses on their cars long after comic relief.
With the current displays of our national flag being purely associated with football and the way some of our football fans behave, I can understand why it could appear slightly menacing.

Theo (theo*+*@*+*letsblowitup*.*com) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :
There's a "good reason" for racism? Nope, new concept to me.
