There was an article in a paper today about VW Vans that are still being produced in Brazil. It says they are producing 1200 per month, and they sell new for around $9000

Nice to know. Too bad they don't start making Bugs again.
I wonder what will happen to the tools/dies and other equipment that was used in Mexico for Beetle production. Sold, scrapped, stored, etc?
Maybe Richard Branson of Virgin Airways would be interested. He wanted to buy the British Airways Concordes before they were retired.

We were in Florinopolis and Sao Paulo last March... 1 out of 10 cars was a Bay Window Bus.... reminded me of the 70s with all the air flowing.... was fun.
