Alive and well from the MS Gulf coast.
We lost power early last night and we rode out the storm in our house. The last I heard was that it was to make land fall on the MS, AL. state line, but i guess it did make a slight turn at the last minute. We were going to evacuated but all the roads were grid locked, we were hearing stories on the radio about people running out of gas sitting in traffic.
I had the van loaded and the '66 all ready to tow, but we decided not to risk being caught on the open road!!
No damage to either the '66 or the '69 or the house.... although we did have a couple big trees miss the house by a few feet.
oh yeah... it was kinda scary. A CAT 4 hurricane is powerful, but luckily I was on the west side of it. And yeah I live about a mile from the beach.
anyone know about or hear from Wild Bill? or any of the other gulf coast, alabama, fla. folks?
