Hi All! My 1973 Beetle sedan needs new front seats. I could get them welded and new springs and seat covers, but I wish I had new or good used seats. I read at john Henry's web site I think, that he got some seats from a VW Golf that fit his Beetle. Has anyone else tried this? Thanks!

Yes, Golf or even old Rabbit. Very comfy. The front mount is the same and the rear outriggers only need to be *tweaked* a bit to fit.

I put in seats from an 88 Fox in my 75. I had a lot of welding and cutting to do though to get them to fit like factory. It was well worth it though.
I have a picture of how it turned out at

*tweaked* = lengthen the rear mounts, or cut off rear mounts and weld on beetle mounts.
There's a site about this:

I've got '92 polo (= fox in America?) seats in my 73 super beetle, firm but comfy.
