unknown Hazet tool (2573)

Does anybody know the use of Hazet tool 2573? Is it a special tool for VW?

At first glance it looked like one of those tools you use to loosen/tighten the water lines of a faucet. :)

Googling the newsgroups, I found this:

2573 10 mm closed-end T-wrench, offset on long shaft, with handle. (For removing top oil cooler hold-down nut and fan-housing bolts. )

That crossbrace handle seems like a bit of overkill for that.

I doubth this is a early VW tool only, looks similar to a tool used on Vespas to fasten the fuel petcock(To reach inside fuel tank)(Not same dimentions, very similar layout though)).

Yeah, I didn't need one when I got my cooler/fan housing off - just a wrench did it for me.

The google search came from a mechanic that was selling a bunch of VW tools and that was his comment, not mine. Perhaps he could email the guy and find out for sure..
