The civic is a front wheel drive, and the driver may not know how to launch properly.

At Bug Jam here in the UK, a couple of weeks ago, Brian Burrows in his Ghia, Pi55ed over a Ferrari ! Small vid on the website, although not the complete run i am afraid...

All front wheel drive cars suck Bong-water massively. Doesn't mater how you launch them, forward acceleration reduces traction to the driven wheels, recipe for lameness
Everybody knows Bong-wine is better.

Surf some websites that show quarter mile times for purposely built front wheel drive drag cars... you might be surprised..
Yes they do run massive Mickey Thompsons up front, and yes they do look insanely silly ;)
