2001 Volkswagen Jetta TDI, Electrical Problem?

My car has recently started having problems. When we get in the car and start to take off, the doors will lock automatically at 15mph. Well now everytime I slow down, say at a light or stop sign, the doors will try to lock themselves again.

And when I get out of the car and try to lock the doors with the keyless entry, the horn would beep and lights used to flash. Now it doesn't even do that. I'm not sure if the problem is my battery, or if the brain in the car is going out. Anyone with any info on why this could be happening? Thank You for any hel Brand

One of the doors is not indicating to the Convenience CU that it is locked so the CU keeps trying to lock it again. If you lock the car twice with the plipper it should flash indicators etc as normal ? You need it hooked up to a VAGCOM to see which door it is.

Thank You, I will take it in to our local Volkswagen Dealership and tell them what I want. I just wanted to go in knowing a little bit of what might be wrong with it. They are the type of people that will tell you eight different things, just to get you to give them more money

before you head to the dealer. A lot of the folks that hang there have the VagCom tool and they can scan the car for you ... and most would be happy to help at no charge. That way you will know exactly what is wrong before you go the the dealer.
