They're galvanised.

A mate used to have one, and it was a total nutter-machine. Fecking quick, but fecking expensive to look-after/fix. Make sure its perfect when you buy so you can hopefully avoid any short term expenses.

My mate has now got an Elise 111S, and he says the Integrale was faster, and felt just as sure-footed, if not better. Now thats gotta be good!

James waffled on in a quite bewildering manner to produce...

Are they indeed? That must explain the rust I've seen on most of the earlier ones.

They always rot around the roof seam just above the tailgate. Don't think I've seen a non Evo Integrale that hasn't had work done there. Both of mine had.

The later Evo ones, maybe the last ones were galvanised, but they were also hand built, IIRC by Karmann or someone similar. Way to check is the profile of the gutters, the very late ones have a different gutter set up from the earlier ones. They're the hand built beasties, and by all accounts, the ones to go for.

Nowhere near as much fun to drive though.

About as scary as a perm.

I haven't driven it properly (hard) just out for a drive but have been a passanger with hard drivin.

Can do

I'll do me best ;)

Thats what i'm afraid of, not lookin good with the da so will only annoy myself more. Having another look thru the history and some of the prices for some of the stuff are SCARY. It always got the bits it needed and it always needed lots of bits...

Or just imagine it to be what i hope and not shatter the illusion?

Dammit i've got a loony 19 to finish buildin :)

And strangely enough, the Rover 620ti is not a rally car.

Or possibly a "cake".

"They've got cocaine in them"

"Cocaine?"

"Ah no, not cocaine, what do you call them? Raisins."

But not as long and rambling as Pete's...... It's amazing, ask a Wop car enthusiast about a car, and they can write a novel about how s**te they are, but still come to the conclusion that they're the best car in the world :-)

The seats look quite comfy....

To be fair, I think I'd divorce my parents if I could find a good integrale I could afford to buy, run and insure.

Er, if you couldn't see around the cars in front, then clearly you wouldn't be overtaking !

Does he think you'll just pull out blind, and hope for the best ?!?!?

What a Liverpool curly perm, with big Mousetache and shell suit. Now that is scary.

You should.

First thing you should do though, is get to be a passenger, on the wrong side of the car. Very, very bizarre experience.

Thats exactley it.

Have it somewhere in the eternal wish list, with the cars you always dream of owning, buit either can't afford, can't insure, or can't afford to maintain.

Some where in my list is a Countach, and a Ferrari Testarossa (the eighties one) just because they are such big stupid, agressive, but utterly impractical cars.

That is the sign of a true drivers car. No matter how crap the individual points and parts are, put it together, and you get something special.

Never been in a LHD car, at least not in this country, and even then i sat in the back. Think i can persuade myself a drive of it :)?
