Yea, no directory listings allowed. Has to have a HTML page at the end of the URL.

Like I said, during the chat (and at other times) I could post working URLS that would not open for some people, while at the very same time they did for some others. They always open for me though.

I'd actually start building a site there if the damn environment could support one. So far it has been useless due to it's unreliable nature.

So I only store some pics there and write a html page to show them. No links between pages, just separate pages to show something temporarily.

What irks me most, is that this time I'm paying for it. Until now I have been using Geocities and Tripod, their free website service. That became useless after they started limiting bandwidth. Plus the ads drive me nuts. As a paying customer I now feel I have a right to complain for the poor service. But I haven't bothered yet. I just bitch about it on a public discussion forum like any normal citizen :D

Make a page with a link to a second page, and let us try that. You may be addressing the pages as "relative" to your machine, not as "absolute" as seen by the rest of the world. That seems to be a very common mistake.

I don't have links to other pages. Just single pages I think, and they were enoughto create problems.

And no, you should not need to use absolute URLS when linking to other pages within the same site. If it doesn't work, the service is crap, not the code.
