I've got some photo's of that 101 that I see around here, do you have an email I can send them to?

Yup, I sent a reply, mentioning that it appears to be a self build box onto a standard GS - and could you stick a note under his windscreen mentioning the 101 Club :-)

Can you send me a leaflet, it'd be easyer to see what it was on a leaflet what with big logo's and all that. Address on the way.

Is in (tomorrows) post :-)

I've included a handy guide to buying a 101 and a couple of extra forms (you never know...)

I'd be quite happy to post same to anyone else who may want a stock of

101 Club application forms - just in case y' understand (Austin...)

Naff off. Just had a gas bill, so I definitely can't afford a 101.

unless anyone wants a 6WD, 4WS 90/130 defender, and is willing to bankroll the project?

thought not...

actually, fun though a 101 would be, I'd more-or-less decided that if the necessary turns up somehow, I'd make the above instead.

Should end up as an 8-seater with 4 rows of 2 seats each (side doors are going to be tricky, so rear access with a central "corridor" sounds likely) using some sort of car seats, probably ford as they're easy to arrange mountings for. All reclining, of course :-). Standard-looking outer body shell, with hopefully less intrusive wheelboxes - they've successfully done that on the Santana body, so I don't see why it can't be done on a defender.

so any takers then? course, one could build an impressive pickup. or even a forward control, I suppose, although that'd be a bit more ambitious bodywork-wise.

I'll pop one in the post then - just in case... :-)

not only which, people have a regrettable tendency to want money for 'em.

must find a way to make some more pennies, preferably without expending too much effort of course. I *want* to do this 90/130 project. Mind, I could flog the 110 eventually, which 'd help pay for it. So really all I need is a couple of 90s, one with a decent engine and gearbox, preferably TDi. The other only needs a half-decent chassis and a good front axle.

Unashamedly pillaged from somebody else's server when it seemed doomed to extinction.
