I don't know. Given the number of iPeople in the Apple iShop last month, probably not.

Because Apple knows what is best for you. Apple products!
I'm done. I'm knackered. Unless someone posts something inflammatory.
OS7 can open a Word 2003 document?
Yet other people manage it sometimes. What do they have that you don't?
Are you trolling?
Yes you are.
Well, obviously not, given that OS7 was replaced long before that. It could read and write Word documents from it's era.
I see. Couldn't one just update to the latest version over a network, for free?
How about Excel and Powerpoint. Can it read and write all three with comparable functionality in the editing application?
Sssshhhhh!
He might STFU if you keep quiet... ;-)

Are you new to urcm? We live to post something inflammatory, derogatory or in many cases just rude. ;)
In 1999, OS9 was the standard. It's now been replaced by OSX.
HTH.
Apple Works.
So what? Could you upgrade from OS9 to X over the network? Not just the OS, all your applications as well?
It's not in the box. Does it support Powerpoint or do you think that is not a desirable feature? What about databases a la Access?
*shrugs*
It was an entirely new OS.
Apple Works was in the box when I bought my iBook..... but you miss the point. A home user doesn't need that. Apple Works does everything the average user needs. If they need more, they buy iWork or Office (as you would on a PC) or download the OpenOffice binary.
Ubuntu convention is moving to a larger venue this year. Across the corridor in the toilet instead of the broom cupboard.
Free AVG, and Sygate Personal Firewall seems to take care of viruses and hackers without any hassle, and AVG updates very quickly automatically. AdAware and Spybot seem to find very little on the occasions I run them, which is only about once a month. On the whole I'm quite satisfied with XP. Does all I want it to do. Mike.
No, neither can Windows XP. You need an application to open a Word document, just as you do under Linux.
And yes, I have a Mac running OS 7.5.5 and I can open and edit Word 2003 documents in it, using Word 98.
I waited for the 360 release to get a cheap used Xbox...
Office 95 can open a Word 2003 document?
What a USELESS argument.
FWIW you can upgrade windows over the network.
Really? We had to get a man in to fit them.
